MHCN Annual General Meeting 2020

It is our pleasure to invite you to the Mental Health Carers NSW Inc., (‘MHCN’; formerly ‘Arafmi NSW’) Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on:

- A Membership renewal form;
- Agenda for the AGM;
- Nomination form for MHCN Board
All current members who have not re-joined for 2020 – 2021 can do so by:
- Completing a MHCN Membership form and emailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org; and,
- Making the required payment into our bank account including your name as ‘reference’ so we can track it and advising us by emailing: email@example.com

MHCN Board Elections
This year there will be an election for expiring and vacant Board positions for the NSW Board of Mental Health Carers NSW, including:
- Vice President
- 2 x Ordinary Board Members
All members are encouraged to participate by:
- Nominating themselves or someone else for a role on the Board, and/ or;
Nominations for vacant Board positions can be made by filling out and returning the attached nomination form, or by sending an email with the information requested to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Board Nominations close on COB 5pm Monday 16th November. You must be a Member to elect for the Board or to vote.
Please note: nominations will NOT be taken from the floor.
Board Nominees to Provide:
We will ask nominees to provide a no more than 300 word ‘biography’ and digital photo (before the close of nominations) to have posted on MHCN’s website from Monday 19th October to inform members about candidates. Biographies and photos received later will be posted as soon as possible, but late provision to MHCN may impact the candidate’s vote (and MHCN will not be responsible for that).
Voting at the AGM
If we receive more nominations than there are available Board positions, voting will take place during the AGM on the 19th November. If you want to vote for the Board positions, you must be present at the AGM. Voting will take place via an online survey using Survey Monkey sent to Members who register attendance at the meeting. The Returning Officer (RO) will confirm the election of the Board positions once the voting is complete. Members of MHCN are the only individuals able to vote for the Board positions. The link to vote will only be sent to confirmed Members during the AGM via email and private chat on ZOOM. The Business and Organisational Support Services Manager will compare the Membership list to those attending the AGM to confirm.
