MHCN is thrilled to announce Season 1 of our new podcast series, ‘Caring Between Minds – Mental Health Advocacy in Action’ with a special launch event on Wednesday 29 July 2026.
This series is dedicated to amplifying the voices of mental health carers and building greater awareness of carer lived experience throughout the mental health sector and the wider community.
Across the episodes, we explore the vital role carers play in mental health advocacy from navigating complex systems and advocating for loved ones, to shaping broader conversations on service improvement and systemic reform.
The podcast also offers a space for listeners with caring experience to hear stories that reflect their own, helping carers feel less alone and empowering them with practical ways to keep advocating for those they support.
The launch event will be co-hosted by MHCN CEO, Jonathan Harms and Podcast Host, Patty Kikos. This event will include the premiere of Episode 0 (the podcast trailer), followed by a panel discussion featuring four special podcast guests from Season 1 – Alex Li, Nikkie Shoveller, Sharon Grocott, and Shaun Deans.
A light morning tea and mingling will follow.
