Are you a dedicated carer eager to transform your life?

You’re invited to our Mental Health Month event, ‘Stepping Stones to Empowered Living – Creative Workshop for Carers’, where you’ll explore your caring journey through art and creative expression.

Express creativity through drawing, coloring, and collage, then walk on your stepping stones, turning dreams into reality through planning and vision. Anything is possible!

Located at MHCN’s office in Pyrmont, this workshop will be led by art therapist, Lisa Macarthur-Edwards, and Carer Peer Trainer, Anne Stedman.

Children and adolescents form a third of the world`s population. Research has demonstrated that adverse experiences in childhood impact lifelong mental and physical health.

World Infant, Child, and Adolescent Mental Health Day (WICAMHD) takes place on April 23rd each year to recognise and advocate for the global promotion of infant, child and adolescent mental health 🌏

This year’s theme highlights the importance of individuals sharing their own experiences with mental health to build bridges of understanding. By speaking in their own words, they foster empathy, dispel stigma, and create connections that enhance support and awareness within communities.

📣 Mental Health Carers NSW, in conjunction with @beingmentalhealthconsumers, will be yarning with First Nations consumers and carers between 4:00pm – 5:00pm on Wednesday June 12th to explore the specific mental healthcare issues and needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in NSW.

If you are an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person and would like to contribute your experience to the discussion, please complete the EOI form below no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday May 13th.

All applicants will be contacted by May 27th to confirm whether they have been successful in being part of this yarn.
