MHCN 2025 Member and Carer Issues Survey Results and Launch of 2026 Member Survey and Carer Issues Survey

Ahead of our Member Survey and Mental Health Carer Issues Survey for 2026, we are pleased to present the results of our 2025 Member and Mental Health Carer Issues Survey.

The 2025 Member and Mental Health Carer Issues Survey was conducted to ensure that MHCN’s advocacy, engagement and member programs and activities continue to reflect the priorities of mental health carers across NSW.

The survey was in two parts, one focused on mental health carer’s experience of NSW mental health services and the other on the experience of being a member of MHCN and using our programs and activities.  

The survey was distributed to 431 members and remained open from 25 June to 19 August 2025. 32 members responded (7.4% response rate).

While the response rate was low and findings should be considered indicative rather than representative, the survey provides valuable lived-experience insights into mental health carers’ experiences of the mental health system and MHCN’s programs and activities.

This year, we have split the survey into 2 separate surveys.

Both surveys will close Sunday 23 August 2026.

Those who take the 2026 Member Survey will go into the draw to win a gift card to thank you for your time in taking the survey.
