Description: Education sessions cover a range of topics, including info to cope with grief of diagnosis, how to care for someone living with a MI while maintaining boundaries and caring for yourself. Topics include assisting with depression, understanding MI, mindfulness, understanding schizophrenia etc.

📣 MHCN and the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) invite carers to an online focus group on Monday 28 October from 4pm – 5:30pm to provide feedback on a proposed suicide-prevention resource. We are particularly interested in gathering insights on carer experiences from those who have supported a loved one who has used services due to a mental health crisis and/or received Aftercare services.

This resource is for service providers delivering the NSW Universal Aftercare Program which involves non-clinical and rapid, assertive follow-up support for individuals who have experienced suicidal thoughts, behaviours, or attempts. As spaces are limited, there will be a selection process if required and selected participants will receive remuneration for their time and engagement.

The online form takes 2 minutes to complete and closes on Friday 18 October at 5pm.
