Who Can Attend: CALD carers who speak Mandarin or Vietnamese and are caring for a loved one with a MI. Culturally appropriate and affordable, online option increases accessibility to a degree

Additional Information: Education sessions cover a range of topics, including info to cope with grief of diagnosis, how to care for someone living with a MI while maintaining boundaries and caring for yourself. Topics include assisting with depression, understanding MI, mindfulness, understanding schizophrenia etc.

World Infant, Child, and Adolescent Mental Health Day (WICAMHD) takes place on April 23rd each year to recognise and advocate for the global promotion of infant, child and adolescent mental health 🌏

This year’s theme highlights the importance of individuals sharing their own experiences with mental health to build bridges of understanding. By speaking in their own words, they foster empathy, dispel stigma, and create connections that enhance support and awareness within communities.

📣 Mental Health Carers NSW, in conjunction with @beingmentalhealthconsumers, will be yarning with First Nations consumers and carers between 4:00pm – 5:00pm on Wednesday June 12th to explore the specific mental healthcare issues and needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in NSW.

If you are an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person and would like to contribute your experience to the discussion, please complete the EOI form below no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday May 13th.

All applicants will be contacted by May 27th to confirm whether they have been successful in being part of this yarn.
