Description: OASIS Support Group has been an active group for over 12 years. Currently the members meet monthly for a cuppa and a chat we exchange information that is relevant to Families and carers. Carers also benefit from meeting with a group of people who provide peer support and have an understanding of everyone's situation. The group is supported by a Carer Advocate from One Door family and Carer Service and also a carer consultant from Albury Wodonga health

World Infant, Child, and Adolescent Mental Health Day (WICAMHD) takes place on April 23rd each year to recognise and advocate for the global promotion of infant, child and adolescent mental health 🌏

This year’s theme highlights the importance of individuals sharing their own experiences with mental health to build bridges of understanding. By speaking in their own words, they foster empathy, dispel stigma, and create connections that enhance support and awareness within communities.

📣 Mental Health Carers NSW, in conjunction with @beingmentalhealthconsumers, will be yarning with First Nations consumers and carers between 4:00pm – 5:00pm on Wednesday June 12th to explore the specific mental healthcare issues and needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in NSW.

If you are an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person and would like to contribute your experience to the discussion, please complete the EOI form below no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday May 13th.

All applicants will be contacted by May 27th to confirm whether they have been successful in being part of this yarn.
