Caring for a person with a mental health condition can involve a broad network of people including relatives, friends and medical professionals like psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists and social and peer workers.

Inclusive care planning refers to how everyone involved in a person’s care network can work together inclusively and collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcome for their loved one. Having knowledge of a system’s standards and your rights, as well as effective communication skills can prove pivotal, enabling care and treatment to be given effectively.

About the Trainer, Anne Stedman 

Carer peer trainer, Anne Stedman, brings her passion, knowledge and lived experience of mental health caring to developing and delivering training workshops for MHCN. She has a BA and a Masters in International Communication, TAFE Training qualifications for Certificate IV Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs, and Diploma Mental Health as well as has extensive volunteering experience and a keen interest in community development and empowerment.
